Terms of Service

These terms cover using Burratix and buying tickets. If you also sell tickets, the Organiser Terms apply on top of these.

1. About Burratix

Burratix is an Australian ticketing platform for live events. We connect fans with organisers and process ticket payments. For most events, the organiser — not Burratix — is the seller of the ticket and is responsible for running the event.

2. Your account

You need an account to buy tickets. Keep your login secure and give us accurate details. To help keep ticketing fair and fight scalping, we verify Australian mobile numbers and allow one account per number.

3. Buying tickets

  • Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies.
  • A ticket is a licence to attend the event on the terms set by the organiser, including any age or entry conditions shown on the listing.
  • Each ticket is issued as a uniquely signed code. Tickets may only be transferred at or below face value, and never resold for profit.
  • Some events use real-name tickets, where your verified name travels with the ticket and may be checked against ID at the gate.

4. Refunds & cancelled events

If an event is cancelled or materially changed, you’re entitled to a refund of the ticket price from the organiser, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply and can’t be excluded. The organiser’s own refund policy is shown on the event listing. Refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe.

5. Pay Your Way

Where an event offers instalments or lay-by, additional terms are shown at checkout. For lay-by, your ticket is issued once the final payment clears.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use Burratix to break the law, to scalp or bulk-buy tickets, to interfere with the platform, or to misuse another person’s details. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes consumer guarantees or other rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Burratix is not liable for an organiser’s event itself, and our liability to you for the ticketing service is limited to the amount you paid for the ticket in question.

8. Privacy & contact

How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy. Questions? Email hello@burratix.com.
